I’m putting a little challenge out to all of you because, quite honestly, we really need your help.

We are very low on volunteers at the moment and we have families who need the support we provide. We are trying lots of different ways to recruit, but I thought there was one group of people who might be able to help us more than anyone else — you!

You know Home-Start. You know what volunteering involves and, most importantly, you know the difference it can make to a family.

So I want you to think about who you know who might make a great Home-Start volunteer.

It could be a friend, former colleague, neighbour, family member or someone you’ve spoken to who you think would be brilliant at it.

And there’s a little incentive…

If you refer someone who goes on to become a Home-Start Teesside volunteer, you’ll receive a £10 Amazon voucher.

But there’s more…

The first successful referral will receive a £50 Amazon voucher!

Just so it’s clear, the voucher will be given once the person you refer has completed our volunteer preparation course and has been matched with a family. For the £50 prize, it will be the first referral to reach this stage.

I’m hoping this will get everyone thinking and maybe introduce us to people we wouldn’t otherwise reach.

We desperately want to keep saying yes to families, and having enough volunteers is what makes that possible.
